FAQ

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

In Washington State, many patients can see an occupational therapist directly without a referral, but some insurance plans may require one. If you’re unsure, we can help you check your benefits.

What conditions do you specialize in?

I typically describe my clinical background in four areas:

Hand Therapy: I spent the past two years in a hand therapy clinic treating conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, distal radius fractures, and arthritis.

Neuro Outpatient OT: Most of my experience over the past decade has been in neurological rehabilitation, working with individuals recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, post-concussion syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, and adults on the autism spectrum.

Custom Bracing & 3D Printing: I provide custom thermoplastic and 3D-printed braces, as well as adaptive tools to support safety and independence with ADLs and IADLs.

Vision & Cognitive Rehabilitation: I incorporate functional cognitive, executive functioning, and vision therapy when appropriate—many of my patients have overlapping challenges that benefit from an integrated approach.

Where are you located?

We are located in the back of Dr. Crews Lasik Eye Center, suite 175. It is easiest to park behind the building and come in the back door, the clinic will be just on your left as you walk in the back entrance.

Do you accept insurance?

We work with many insurance plans and can provide self-pay options. We will verify your coverage before your first visit so there are no surprises.

What can I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit includes:

  • A detailed evaluation of your abilities, challenges, and goals

  • Discussion of your medical history and daily routines

  • Testing for vision, fine motor skills, strength, and cognitive abilities

  • A personalized treatment plan, which may include clinic sessions, home exercises, and adaptive strategies

Do you offer home visits or telehealth?

Yes. For certain patients, we offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions, depending on your needs and insurance coverage.
