Why Choose ORCA:
Advanced Neuro Reasoning
We assess and retrain complex motor-cognitive interactions — like dual-task performance, attention under load, executive planning, and functional vision integration.
Fatigue Science & Pacing
We help people with chronic neurological fatigue and post-concussion dysregulation work smarter, not harder, with pacing, activity analysis, and real-world strategies that prevent relapse.
Safety & Insight Training
Therapy includes judgment and safety awareness training — addressing not just movement, but clinical insight, driving readiness, and fall risk.
Real-World Functional Outcomes
Your goals — like returning to hobbies, driving, or meaningful work — guide therapy, not arbitrary exercise lists.
Your Partner in Neuro Recovery
Founded by Megan Shah, OTR/L, Orca Therapy focuses on helping clients regain independence after neurological injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), and other functional limitations. The clinic’s approach combines evidence-based treatment with personalized, real-world practice to support lasting recovery.
“Our goal is to bridge the gap between medical recovery and everyday life,” said Megan Shah, occupational therapist and founder of Orca Therapy. “With the right tools and teamwork, anything is possible. We want every client to feel safe, respected, and confident as they return to meaningful activities.”
Shah, originally from Appleton, WI, brings nearly a decade of clinical experience across skilled nursing, home health, outpatient neuro, and pain management settings. Certified in Saebo neurorehabilitation technology, she is passionate about tone management, fine motor retraining, and holistic pain management through mindfulness and biofeedback.
Having relocated to Vancouver in 2022 with her family, Shah says the area’s collaborative healthcare community inspired her to create a clinic that partners closely with neurology practices, physical therapists, and primary care providers to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
“One of my favorite moments in therapy is when a client can dress independently again or return to a beloved hobby,” Shah added. “Those are the victories that make the work deeply rewarding.”
