Founded by Megan Shah, OTR/L, Orca Therapy focuses on helping clients regain independence after neurological injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), and other functional limitations. The clinic’s approach combines evidence-based treatment with personalized, real-world practice to support lasting recovery.
“Our goal is to bridge the gap between medical recovery and everyday life,” said Megan Shah, occupational therapist and founder of Orca Therapy. “With the right tools and teamwork, anything is possible. We want every client to feel safe, respected, and confident as they return to meaningful activities.”
Shah, originally from Appleton, WI, brings nearly a decade of clinical experience across skilled nursing, home health, outpatient neuro, and pain management settings. Certified in Saebo neurorehabilitation technology, she is passionate about tone management, fine motor retraining, and holistic pain management through mindfulness and biofeedback.
Having relocated to Vancouver in 2022 with her family, Shah says the area’s collaborative healthcare community inspired her to create a clinic that partners closely with neurology practices, physical therapists, and primary care providers to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
“One of my favorite moments in therapy is when a client can dress independently again or return to a beloved hobby,” Shah added. “Those are the victories that make the work deeply rewarding.”
